Here’s a quick professional makeup routine to create a polished, camera-ready look in under 10 minutes.
As a pro makeup artist to the stars, who’s made up over 52,000 faces of makeup…
This is what I recommend for real life for busy mornings.
Step 1: Skin Prep
• Start with clean, dry skin. Avoid anything that leaves any kind of residue whatsoever. They make foundation thick and gunky
• Tip: Only on a rare occasion will I use primer. I only recommend using a lightweight gel that sets completely dry with no sticky residue.
Step 2: Highlighter / Luminiser - Yes! Glow product before foundation!
• Apply highlighter (such as The Perfect Glow Pressed) first to cheekbones, outer forehead bones, bridge of the nose. (Add to centre of the eyelid for evening glam).
• This is a secret to make foundationlook natural and luminous.
Step 3: Foundation and Concealer
• For the most gorgeous looking foundation - use an only atinyamount of high-coverage foundation and blendfar with a quality brush for a “no makeup” look.
• Concealer goes on last - except if you use powder foundation where you would apply concealer first. Apply concealer very precisely - where you need it only.
• Tip: Applying foundation after eye makeup gives you a nice clean under eye area
Step 4: Eyes and; Brows
• Quick eyeliner method: apply Brownstone eyeliner into the upper lash line, then blend using a fluffy brush. Apply again.
• Optional neutral eyeshadow for subtle enhancement.
• Brow grooming: brush upward/outward and lightly fill sparse spots.
Step 5: Cheeks
• Blush restores color and life.
• Swirl your Glow brush into your blush, apply where you want definition, blend outwards in a spiral motion for a flawless finish.
Step 6: Lips
• Do a quick run over with lip liner then blend to soften
• Choose a color you love and that complements your outfit
• Tip: Test in natural light to confirm it looks flattering.
Step 7: Finishing Touches
• Check symmetry and check it looks good under different lighting
• Blending is key — the right brush + technique creates polish.
• Optional: setting spray for extra longevity.
Extra Tips
• Use the items that give you the “most bang for your buck” as far as time spent
• Polished makeup comes from blending and technique, not number of products.
