The new Mini-Smolder brush is more of an eye brush.  It is wonderful for:

• Smudging out/ blending eyeliner
  - Applying eyeshadow for those who do not have very much room around the eyes or those who have hooded eyes and and not much eye room
  So essentially it's like a softer version of the Smudger brush or a small version of the Smolder Brush
